8 months update

If you look close, I've got 2 teeth!
She is now 7 kg of big eyes, chubby cheeks, giggles and wiggles. She is busy, busy busy getting into things and exploring the world. She loves people, it seems as if she intentionally trys to get attention. She will reach out her arms and smile at people who walk by and if they don't smile back or talk to her she looks really disapointed. She is usually very successful in getting attention though. She makes new friends wherever she goes. We are planning on moving into a bigger apartment in the next few months to give her some more space and so that we can have our room back. We don't know how much longer we will be here but we know most likely one more year if not two. I think it would be great if Jada could have a couple years exposer to the Chinese language and culture before we move back to Canada, it will be easier to keep it up that way I think. Some day she is probably going to be correcting our Chinese. She now says Mama and Dada..she was saying dada last month so I am really excited that she has started saying mama. She only says mama to me like she knows what it means. She is getting a little pickier with her food. She didn't like her breakfast or her lunch today so she ended up eating yogurt and rice crackers. I was trying to feed her a slice of cheddar and a boiled egg for breakfast and some chicken, veggies and rice for lunch. It is kind of hard to tell an 8 months old that she needs to eat what I make for her the focus is just to make sure she is growing well and healthy. Hopefully it was just an off day. The doctor suggested that I make scrambled egg instead of boiled for her. The doctor wants her to be eating both the white and the yolk of the egg before her next shots in a month. She just gets cuter and cuter I swear. Mike and I never regret having a child, she brings alot of joy into our life.

we have taken to using a bucket to give her a bath, as she is too long for the sink!

3 years and counting

Yesterday (April 14th) was our three year anniversary. It has been a wonderful journey thus far.
To celebrate yesterday we went out to an Indian Buffet, then went shopping for DVDs and silk scarves. We made some pizza at night and Chelsey had made a cheesecake tart thing with strawberries and mangoes on it. Yummy!
I have been extremely lucky to be married to Chelsey. Not only is she a great cook and a wonderful mother, but she is very supportive to me, even in our somewhat crazy ideas - like come to China. She is loves to try new things (in fact she is always teaching her self something new). She is always there for me to talk to about anything. Chelsey is my best friend, and a wonderful traveling companion. Thank you Chelsey for a marvelous three years, and here's to many many years together!
