Christmas and New Years

Christmas has come, New Years has passed, and all of a sudden its 2009! We are getting closer to our goal of going over to China. It is planned for late April or early May, depending on what happens. We still need to save some money up, but we already have about $1500 of the $4000 that we have as a goal.

Christmas was good to us. We spent Christmas eve with Chelsey's parents, as well as part of Christmas morning. Between the two of us we got Simpsons Season 10 (mine), a Massage chair (mine), a Santa shaped cookie Jar (ours), 2 mandolines (Chelsey's - not the instrument, but the kitchen cutting tool), a hair strightener (chelsey's), an ice cream maker (mine), $50 (ours), $75 to spend at Sierria Trading Post and a few other fun things. One fun thing that we got was a CD from a friend from a group called The Postal Service - an indie pop group, with the lead singer from Death Cab For Cutie. Really intresting sound, and we both enjoy it.

After spending time at Chelsey's parents, we headed into Cardston on Christmas day and had dinner with my family. lots of fun and food! We also played Rail Baron, and even though I did ok, I made a mistake early on in the game which allowed Amy to win it all.

New Years was fairly calm. We did not do much, but Chelsey made a huge mexican meal to share with her family - build your own burrito type deal. Very tasty! Then we just watched movies and played games and did the whole countdown thing.

I took today off, as it was one of the last days that I could take time off with out having to make it hard for everyone else - they are all students, and school starts back up on Monday. It is nice to have a day off here and there.

Have fun, and a great year! 2009 will bring many exciting adventures!

Snow is so much fun until you have to drive through it. See you soon!
